Quotes

Join the Binary family by sending your file for a free, no-obligation quote to:

(Why use a gmail address? Because Google makes it so darn easy to link gmail to Binary Bindery mobile devices. This way, Bindery staff can be accessible at extended hours.)

Unsure what to send?

  • Put NEED QUOTE in the e-mail subject line
  • Please tell us your name a/o what you like to be called. Thanks to pen names, things like salutations and correspondence can get weird and awkward; help us out by solving the name mystery.
  • In the e-mail body, please list required filetypes (EPUB, MOBI, PDF* Smashwords, plus any licensing customizations for different distributors &c.)
  • .doc, .docx, .html, .txt, .pdf, .odf, .rtf — pretty much any file type will work
  • Include all desired front- and back-matter in the file, if possible
  • A projected due-date really helps, too. (The only way this could affect price is a rush-production situation)

*Because so much of the PDF-filetype's appearance and performance is beyond a producer's control, Binary Bindery will provide the PDF filetype if requested, but cannot guarantee its appearance a/o performance.

Issues

Clients might be turned away at the quote stage for three reasons:
  • Project is not in publishable condition. (This means it has many errors or non-standard features that would prevent the delivery of a quality production result.)
  • Client requests styling or navigation at odds with reader expectations or print convention.
  • Meg has a backlog of work that would push the turnaround time beyond the client’s schedule requirements.
